MEGAVIATION FZC was established in 2013. The owners of the company have vast experience in aviation business and are licensed commercial pilots themselves.

The company has been granted the License Certificates that authorize MEGAVIATION FZC for civil aircraft and civil helicopter chartering & leasing as well as for trading in spare parts of civil aircraft and helicopters.

The registered office of the company, which is its operation center in charge of all current business projects with international and local customers, is located in Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone).

The company staff is comprised of highly-trained aviation professionals, including pilots and technicians. The helicopter pilots’ training is conducted only at the approved and certified centers, while training programs include Instrument Rating, Instructors Rating, Conversion Training, External Load Rating, NVG and other types of advanced and individual training.

The helicopters currently in operation comply with all current legal, technical and commercial requirements applicable to helicopters of this type and have sufficient available service life to provide long term aviation services without interruption. Bambi Buckets are used as the water dropping devices for the firefighting operations. The slings/ropes and swivel shackle, with which the Bambi Bucket is attached to the helicopter, are part of the helicopter equipment.

The flight crews and technicians have appropriate training and poses all necessary relevant permissions and certification to do their job and have adequate medical insurance policies. At least one pilot in each flight crew has ICAO Level 4 proficiency in the English language.

CARGO,PASSENGER & SPECIAL OPERATIONS.

At present MEGAVIATION FZC provides its customers with a wide range of turnkey passenger and cargo transportation services and solutions, including charter services on Mi-8MTV-1, Mi-17, KA-32A helicopters.

MEGAVIATION FZC also provides special helicopter services such as construction hoisting and cargo slinging. The pilots have significant slinging and lifting experience and the helicopter operations division has the equipment needed for a variety of slinging operations and customized solutions for prospective clients.

We have worked with the photographic and film production industry professionals and can assist with the hiring of equipment designed for specific use on helicopters. The helicopters can also be easily and quickly equipped with aero-medical emergency equipment for patient transport or rescue operations. We offer the customers extensive expertise in high value cargo delivery, geological surveys and mine and powerline inspections which encompasses not only fixed-base operations but away-from-base flight operations, including maintenance, repair and support services.

FIREFIGHTING OPERATIONS DAY & NIGHT

MEGAVIATION FZC takes active part in the aerial firefighting operations using Mi-8MTV-1, Mi-17, KA-32A helicopters, with some of them fully equipped and certified to conduct nighttime operations, which makes it possible to conduct round-the-clock water dropping operations.

The nighttime aerial firefighting has certain advantages over the daytime operations, namely:

• 1. Reconnaissance and detection of potential fires and hot spots is much more effective with NVG.
• 2. Dropping water precisely in the heart of the fire with superior accuracy, not in the smoke zone as during the daytime operations.
• 3. Mainly calm weather and no strong winds.
• 4. Lower outside temperatures help to improve the helicopter’s lifting capacity.
• 5. There are fewer helicopters in the fire zone making it safer for operations.
• 6. In case of rapid spread of fire, it is possible to spot the fire’s movement to contain and suppress it round the clock.

HELICOPTERS MAINTENANCE

MEGAVIATION FZC at own expense performs helicopters maintenance and provides all necessary technical equipment, spare parts, and materials, including lubricants, oils, special liquids, etc., for the entire period of the contract. MEGAVIATION FZC is also responsible for the flight operation of the helicopters and flight safety in the country where the aviation services are provided.
